If anyone is in need of a decent FREE anti-virus or firewall then i would recommend the following:

ANTIVIRUS

http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html - used for years no problems to date

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/ - This ones used at home very few problems with it

FIREWALLS

http://www.comodo.com/ - always used this but cant be a little over the top, but exceedingly good - just like Mr Kiplins

http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en/zonealarm-pc-security-free-firewall.htm?lid=en - not tried this one but it has been recommended by many i know =] however its a lot less in your face than the one above
